Our asset is our team of untiring and dedicated personnel, who spare no pains to ensure maximum satisfaction to our visitors.
We are adventure specialists, who have now in addition, become ardent and passionate nature lovers. The thrill of adventure in the wilds has made us understand the unspoilt nature and has repeatedly provided us the awareness, understanding and appreciation of what nature provides us. Nature is our teacher. We follow nature. We look at nature and learn from it, as nature provides everything. We share our yearning for nature with you. You will also then enjoy and come to realize the infinite education that nature gives all of us.
Closely associated with nature and adventure is of course the famed Eastern therapies and remedies of Ayurveda, Yoga and meditation.
We practice them and offer our facilities without any reservation to anyone who aspires them to reach that pinnacle of mind and body in the bliss of contentment.

Major VijithaWelikala, Chairman Watch Guard Family utilized his deep passion to the jungle to establish Wild Holidays (Pvt) Ltd, in 1999, a corporate entity challenging the vagaries of nature, and towards this endeavour, Thotupola at Piliyandala in the serene and tranquil setting along the BolgodaLake , the Ella Adventure Park in the wilderness of the Uva Province were set up andWhite Water Rafting Centre at Kithulgala in Sabaragamuwa province.
Ella Adventure Park which indeed is a nature’s wonder spreads over a span of 150 acres with the nature houses catering for ECO-Adventure tourism. While the Main Resort has it’s nature houses constructed in a location closer to EllaWellawaya main road, the Ankelipawwa ECO Lodges are situated in the bottom valley along with the tantalizing waters of KirindiOya cascading through its environs, offering a deep detachment from the normal routine life. Ella ECO park so far has entertained many thousands nature seekers both foreign and local who had appreciated this wonderful creation.
This gigantic complex was made possible owing to the leadership offered by Major Vijitha Welikala who had the rare opportunity of exposure to the rigorous training and initiation by the US Rangers in the survival techniques under most trying circumstances, which challenge the vary core of human endurance.
To support his vision of bringing the lesser known backyards of Sri Lanka to the fore, Wild Holidays (pvt) Ltd led by him is backed by a team of well trained and disciplined ex. Commando, STF and SF personnel including foreign experts who are conversant in the interpretation of Nature and Wilderness, required to be considered as a suitable contender for recognition as a pioneer pace setter in ECO Tourism having contributed much to the nascent tourism industry which has vast potential to attract niche clientele both foreign and local.

We were selected by the World ECO Tourism Society to represent Sri Lanka at the World Eco Tourism Fair held in Hannover, Germany in the year 2000.
In the aftermath of the Tsunami catastrophe, we facilitated the humanitarian activities of 200 Far Eastern Uni Lever executives at Koggala and Ussangoda culminating in Eco tourism and meditation programmes at the Ella Adventure Park which came for high praise among the participants.
We have conducted ECO tourism for local and foreign personnel throughout the island introducing the lesser known sites in the backyard of Sri Lanka. This covers most of the provinces in Sri Lanka including the Eastern Province and it is envisaged, with the dawn of the peace in the Northern part of the country that Wild Holidays will soon extend their activities in that province too.
Our “Let’s Go Camping Sri Lanka” team is dedicated to provide the visitors with sheer delight of camping under the tents, the open sky and in caves along the waterfalls, hilly setting, and the surrounding terrain of trees, shrubs and rocks which provide natural camping sites to the discerning visitors at locations of their choice.
Regular Leadership training and Inward Bound Journey programmes for corporate sector and groups are conducted with Eco Adventure as the medium and we are currently involved in formulating programmes to explore the lesser known sites of Sri Lanka.
